Why It Takes So Long … to Update the web Site Header

Ready to upload new header to web site.

  • Need to add hotspots.
  • Open with Fireworks. Missing Font: Arial Rounded MT Bold

  • Upgrade to Lastest Version
  • Copy is on USB thumb-drive
  • Perform Quicken backup. (That’s why the thumb drive was there). Exit Quicken.
  • Eject thumb drive. Hit Exit U3 Application instead of Eject Drive. Crap.
  • Hit “Safely Stop Hardware, pull thumb drive. Plug into front USB slot of Desktop PC.
  • Front USB slot is dead
  • Bend down under speaker stand, plug into back slot.
  • Bang head coming back up. Ouch.
  • Close Fireworks. Answer Instant Message about Order Entry Screen programming change.

  • Answer again.
  • Get an OK.
  • Welcome to Installer. Accept License. Check “Create QuickLaunch Bar Shortcut”
  • Check all for “Defaut Editor” Settings Click Next. Click Install. Things are happening.
  • Check Launch Fireworks, hit Next.
  • Nothing Happens.
  • No wait. It’s just hidden and has no icon in the task bar. Alt-tab to it. Enter serial info. Check for updates.
  • Give up too complicated.
  • Brain fart and I click away from the e-mail containing the graphic.
  • Go back into the e-mail to get the graphic.
  • Missing Font: Arial Rounded MT Bold
  • Decide I don’t care.
  • Sadly realize that the graphic provides only one image for 2 links. Decide Jason can fix next week.
  • Remember Jason is in Mexico next week.

  • It does have hotspots, just have to move and resize. Delete inexplicable slicing.
  • Remember I have to care. Create landing page to solve the 2 link/ 1 image problem.
  • Create javascript function for popup.
  • Forget syntax for “self.close();”
