		<description>It&#039;s important to note that while osCommerce may have moved to a social coding env. with GitHub, at the end of day, Herald is an autocrat and history has shown his inability to work within a community framework. I wouldn&#039;t bet for osCommerce - unfortunately the leader is the problem and as much potential as it has, there is no future for it. Look at all those that left the community and created its&#039; many forks which have killed the viability of this project as anything worthwhile. This will happen with osCommerce 3.0 as soon as the codebase is stable - too may cooks in the kitchen with different motives.

Magento has leadership and vision and let&#039;s hope that even with its problems (which are minimal or trivial in most cases), it&#039;s what the open source eCommerce world needs to remain viable.</description>
