The “hands” in the first photo, and the longer hair in this photo, has stirred up speculation that it’s a raccoon.

My bet is is that it’s a dog with the top part of its jaw broken off. Somebody floated this idea (at Gawker, I think). Were it’s paws lashed? Seems to be a sad result of some animal abuse I think.

Precious comment found in response to a Philadelphia Daily News Story “Living the ‘Caveman’ Life,” about a guy living under I-95 in Philadelphia.
