Magento Product Create API: use_config_min_sale_qty (and max) attributes
In a site I maintain I have a separate web application for adding products. The reason for this is that products need to be added to both a backend warehousing system as well as magento.

Magento: How to Turn On Template Path Hints and Inline Translation
Background
These settings – especially template path hints – are unclear in existing documentation.The Magento User Guide makes no mention of either. My guess is that it’s considered beyond the scope of that manual. I’ve not seen any mention in php|Architect’s “Guide to E-commerce Programming with Magento” so far, either.

A fix: Magento Frontend and/or Admin and/ or Admin menu doesn’t work
Introduction
After a magento upgrade, the frontend died a tragic death – a 500 Internal Server Error. Once I got that running, I figured out why I was getting the same error in the admin backend, and then once all that was sorted – my admin menu links weren’t working!

Can osCommerce 3.0 Compete with Magento?
I’ve Google’d here and there to see what’s been happening with osCommerce 3.0. Mostly nothing it would appear.
But recently I’ve seen some interesting – if tentative – signs of life. Seems the repository has been moved over to Github. Can the “social coding” encourage a growth of interest in osCommerce? See also the blip.tv presentation [...]
